Meet Our Collaborators: Betsy Anderson of bWell Fitness

Meet Betsy Anderson, personal trainer and owner of bWell Fitness and a JLB Pilates collaborator. Betsy offers personal training, nutrition coaching, supplement advice, and injury recovery to clients in the Maple Grove area.

At JLB Pilates, we partner with other health and wellness professionals in the Maple Grove area to deliver personalized wellness programs for our shared clients. Today, we’re introducing you to Betsy Anderson, personal trainer and owner of bWell Fitness in Maple Grove.

Betsy, how do you work with clients at bWell Fitness?

BA: I offer one-on-one personal training and nutrition coaching as well as supplement advising and injury recovery work. I can work with clients in person or virtually and also offer a digital program that is designed for folks who need direction but not necessarily weekly accountability with a coach.

How is bWell Fitness different from other fitness studios in the area?

BA: I meet each client where they are at and work with them to move toward their goals. I train from the inside out, meaning I focus on self-perception, mindset, and growth and use training and education to help my clients not only meet their physical health goals, but improve their self-image and mindset, too.

What’s your favorite thing about working with clients?

BA: I really enjoy seeing the mindset shift in my clients. It is so gratifying when they have that “Aha!” moment. That’s when I get to see the snowball effect work its magic on clients as they make huge progress toward their goals.

Tell us a little about your professional background.

BA: I have more than 16 years of experience working in the health and wellness industry. I am a certified personal trainer, certified supplement adviser, certified nutrition coach, and level 1 neuromuscular therapist. I have a B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Movement Studies from the UW–Eau Claire.

How do you and Jen collaborate?

BA: Jen Bergren and I work together to serve our clients. If one of us feels a client could benefit from working with the other, we encourage them to get in touch. This helps us support our client’s overall wellness goals and improve their strength, mobility, and recovery between sessions. I’m looking forward to hosting a workshop with her soon.

What would you tell JLB Pilates clients as they start or continue their Pilates wellness journey?

BA: Listen to Jen. Seriously. She’s by far one of the most skilled, knowledgeable, and talented fitness professionals I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. Jen has the ability to see movement patterns through a lens that many others cannot, which gives her an impressive opportunity to help people move and function with less pain while improving stability and strength of joints.

You can tell how much Jen cares for the wellness of her clients. The ones who listen and follow through on the work they’re being told to do make the most progress.

Thanks, Betsy! One more question: when you’re not working with clients, what do you like to do?

BA: I enjoy the outdoors, especially fishing, bow hunting, running, and campfires with my dog and partner. Interested in working with Betsy? Learn more about bWell Fitness on the studio’s website.
